Meet Rob Kornblum, Our New CEO and President

Meet Rob Kornblum, Our New CEO and President

We’re excited to welcome Rob Kornblum as the new CEO and President of Competitive Solutions Inc. Rob brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across high-growth software, service-based businesses, and venture capital. His career has been shaped by a passion for scaling organizations, developing people, and delivering measurable results, making him a natural fit for CSI.

Why CSI?

Rob was drawn to CSI for the same reason our long-term clients stay with us: the people and the process. As he puts it, “CSI’s solid foundation of delivering tangible results for clients and cultivating a high-performing team over decades is what drew me to the company. Clients tend to stay for a long time, which means they are getting great results. Team members tend to stay for a long time, which shows a culture that really values people and their contributions. CSI’s values really fit with mine.” He’s excited to build on that legacy to expand opportunities for our team and the organizations we serve.

A Career Built on Innovation

  • Corporate Leadership: Rob has held executive roles at Avention, Lifecare, Monster Worldwide, Bullhorn, and most recently as Fund Manager at American Family Institute. His work has focused on scaling growth-stage companies and aligning teams for long-term success.

  • Coaching & Speaking: A Kauffman Fellow and former venture capitalist, Rob has helped companies grow from the inside out. He’s also a trusted advisor, TEDx speaker, and the author of two business books: Never Too Late to Start Up about mid-life entrepreneurship and Entrepreneur Rocket Fuel, about building companies by focusing on culture.

Outside the Office

Rob lives in Boston and has lived and worked across the country, including San Francisco, Chicago, Austin, and the DC area. He’s a lifelong sports fanatic, having played soccer, basketball, and lacrosse, and still follows his favorite teams closely: the Patriots, Celtics, Tottenham Hotspur, and Bayern Munich.

When he’s not working, Rob enjoys cooking, reading (fiction and nonfiction), gardening, and traveling. He’s been married to his college sweetheart for 29 years and is the proud dad of three adult boys. He’s big on wellness, stays active, and has a serious appreciation for music and movies of all kinds.
